Liberty Builder’s Home is a
welcoming, warm and private summer vacation home in
the peaceful town of South Portland on the Maine
coast, perfect for informal family fun and relaxation, and a convenient base
for wider Maine
vacation travels. Our comfortable and rambling house is nestled in a quiet
lot at the bottom of a dead end lane a few minutes stroll to Willard Beach and
just a five minutes drive to Portland, “the
most livable city in America” (Forbes Magazine).
Come, relax, and decompress; Take a walk or a ride on our bikes on the Greenbelt
Trail; Work up an appetite with a game of bocce or tag-football on the lawn; Stroll down to Willard Beach, and
explore the beach, coves and Fort Preble, or drop in for
a water-front meal at Joe’s Boathouse. Just
minutes away, you can explore the historic port city of Portland
with its delightful Old
Port quarter, countless
restaurants and shops, museums, theaters and historic sites. Ferries abound to destinations in Casco Bay
and beyond, - even to Nova Scotia.
Our home is a comfortable base for trips
up and down the fasntastic Maine coast, sightseeing, hiking, bird watching, whale
watching, shopping, and antiquing. Enjoy a simple and inexpensive lobster meal on one of Maine’s many “lobster wharves”, or even at
home, on the deck or in our inviting dining room.
The Liberty Builder’s Home has three large and comfortable bedrooms that
accommodate up to ten people with privacy and comfort. It is perfect for one or
two families, three couples, or even a multi-generational
family get-together. The two upstairs bedrooms have views across Casco Bay and
the Portland shipping channel and out past Cushing Island to the Atlantic horizon, while
the downstairs bedroom at the other end of the house overlooks the peaceful
lawn.
And for complete decompression don’t even leave the house – send the
kids out to play and curl up with a book, movie, or use the pool table or
ping-pong in our game room.
